Something has shifted in the wedding world.
September and October now account for roughly a quarter of all UK weddings (source: partyhouses.co.uk), and that figure has been climbing year on year. Search interest in autumn and winter weddings overtook spring and summer heading into 2024 (weddingtoasts.co.uk).
The boho barn wedding, the candlelit country house, the woodland ceremony with copper leaves underfoot – autumn is no longer the off-peak choice. It’s the choice.
And couples planning autumn weddings are some of the most visually intentional we work with. They know their palette – burnt orange, deep burgundy, forest green, warm amber. They know their vibe – intimate, textured, grounded in the natural world. They just sometimes struggle to find stationery that actually reflects all of that, rather than a generic floral design that could belong to any season.
What autumn wedding table stationery actually needs to do
Your on the day stationery – the place cards, menus, table numbers, seating plan – is doing more than just telling guests where to sit. It’s part of how your tables look and feel. It sits alongside your florals, your centrepieces, your linens. Get it right and it pulls everything together. Get it slightly wrong – the wrong tones, a design that feels off-season – and it’s the detail that niggles.
The other thing autumn stationery needs to do is coordinate. Nothing is more stressful than ordering place cards from one supplier, menus from another, and then realising the fonts don’t quite match when everything arrives. For an autumn wedding especially – where the whole aesthetic depends on things feeling cohesive and considered – a mismatched stationery suite can undermine a lot of hard work.
Our autumn designs – and which one might be yours
We have four designs that work beautifully for autumn weddings, each with its own mood. Place cards start from 50p each, so you can give every guest something beautiful without the four-figure stationery bill.
Maple Leaves is the one couples reach for most often when they want something that feels unmistakably autumnal. Detailed copper and amber leaf illustrations, warm and elegant rather than rustic. It works especially well with burgundy or forest green florals, wooden venue details, and candlelight – the kind of palette that photographs beautifully in October light. Available as place cards , menus, table numbers and seating plan – so you can match everything across your whole suite.

Autumn Meadow is softer and more botanical – warm-toned wildflower illustrations rather than structured leaves. If your wedding has more of a garden party feel, a relaxed outdoor ceremony, or a boho aesthetic with dried flowers and pampas grass, this one tends to feel more at home. Available as place cards, menus, table numbers/names and seating plan.
Butterfly Garden is our wildcard for autumn – floral and delicate, with butterflies among the blooms. It’s not obviously seasonal in the way Maple Leaves is, but for couples who want something romantic and nature-inspired without leaning hard into the autumn palette, it’s a beautiful choice. And it still sits perfectly on a November table. Available as place cards, menus, table names/numbers and seating plan.

Pumpkin Patch is for the couples who love the playful side of autumn – the pumpkin displays, the fairy lights, the relaxed barn reception where nobody’s taking themselves too seriously. It’s warm and fun and the place cards make a lovely table detail. If you would like a complete set with menu, table names and seating plan, we can create that for you too.

The part guests don’t expect
Here’s what makes our autumn stationery a little different. Every piece is made from real wildflower seed paper – handmade in the UK and embedded with native wildflower seeds. Your guests can take their place card or menu home, press it into a pot of compost, and grow real UK wildflowers from it. Poppies, cornflowers, marigolds, just to name a few will from May to July from a card that was on your October wedding table.
(If you’re sceptical – we get it. We’ve heard “I’ve seen products like this before and nothing grew.” We’ve been testing every batch for over five years. Sprouts appear within 7 days. We wouldn’t send it if it didn’t work.)

It’s not the reason to choose it – the design is. But it’s the thing guests remember. And for autumn couples who care about how their day sits in the world – who feel the guilt of how much single-use paper a wedding generates – it tends to feel like exactly the right kind of detail.
We send a mock-up before anything prints. Nothing goes to press without your approval. And we’re always happy to talk through what works for your specific tables, venue, and guest numbers before you order.

We recommend ordering at least 3-4 weeks before your date. Leave it later and still get in touch – we’ll always do our best.
